FALL IN OIL PRICES
Commercial inventories of U.S. crude oil were down about 400,000 barrels from the previous week, despite market expectations of a 300,000 barrel increase.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said commercial crude oil inventories in the country fell by about 400,000 barrels last week to 426 million 600,000 barrels. The market expected inventories to rise by about 300,000 barrels. Strategic crude oil inventories, which are not included in commercial crude oil inventories, fell 5 million barrels to 480 million 100,000 barrels. During the said period, US gasoline inventories increased by 3.5 million barrels to 228 million 400,000 barrels.
OIL PRODUCTION HAS ALSO DECLINED
